Bremen Lodge #608 was founded in 1909, at the height of Bremen’s “oil boom” and has been a proud member of the Bremen and Fairfield county community ever since. As as result of the oil discovery, men immigrated into the community from various backgrounds. There was talk of an evolving “lodge among the oil men.” Dr. Frank P. Strayer’s office was the meeting place of these early Masons. The Masonic Hall was approved to be built in 1908 at a cost of $2580 atop the Blosser-Olive building in the downtown area and is still in use today.
Bremen Lodge was originally located at 101 W. Main Street in Bremen, Ohio. We are currently meeting at Rushville Lodge, until our new building is constructed.
